Chromosome staining/banding/FISH
Heterochromatin blocks distributed at terminal regions of short arms of pairs 7, 9, 10, 23 and 25, at proximal and equidistant regions in relation to centromere of pairs 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19 and 21, plus a large heteromorphic segment in the sm pair 11. This pair was polymorphic, including both heteromorphic and homomorphic cases unrelated to sex. AgNOR located at subterminal region on long arms of sm pair 11. The 18S and 5S rDNAs were located syntenic and adjacent. rDNAs were located at sm pair 11, with subterminal 18S rDNA sites and interstitial 5S rDNA on long arms. The 5S rDNA presented size heteromorphism.
